Non-Attendance Policy

Non-Attendance Policy

A non-attendance fee of $35 for GP consultations or 50% of consultation fee for non GP consultations will be applied if you:

  • do not attend,
  • reschedule within 3 hours for GP consultations or 24 hours for non-GP consultations prior to your scheduled appointment time,
  • cancel within 3 hours for GP consultations or 24 hours for non-GP consultations prior to your scheduled appointment time.

This fee will need to be paid prior to your next consultation.

Late Arrival Policy

To help us run on time and respect everyone’s appointment, please arrive on time for your consultation.

All consultations are by appointment. Standard appointments are for 15 minutes, with around 12 minutes for discussion and 3 minutes for the doctor to complete notes. Long appointments are for 30 minutes, of which about 24 minutes will be spent consulting.

If you have multiple or complex issues, please either book a long appointment or discuss your situation with our receptionists before booking. Please note there is an extra gap for long appointments.

  • Arriving late:

    • If you arrive less than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be shortened to the remaining time. The full fee still applies.

    • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will not be seen and a non-attendance fee will apply.

    • For special appointment types (e.g. minor surgery, medical assessments, care plans), arriving late may mean you need to rebook and a non-attendance fee will apply.

  • Check-in:

    • Arrival time is when you have completed check-in. Please allow enough time to update your details, pay any outstanding accounts, or do any required checks.

    • New patients must arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete registration.

  • Telehealth:

    • For phone consults, your arrival time is when you answer the phone.

  • Running late?

    • If you know you will be late, please call reception as soon as possible. We will try to help, but the late arrival policy still applies.

  • Parking:

    • Street parking is limited, please allow extra time to find a park and walk to the clinic.

  • When the doctor is late:

    • If your doctor is running late, you will still receive your full consultation time.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us provide timely care to all patients.
