Voula achieved a milestone of 30 years as a Registered Psychologist, in 2020, having first become registered in 1990.
In her many years, Voula has accrued extensive experience in counselling, therapy and assessment, both vocational and clinical. She has an interest in assisting individuals with their personal, educational and career development and working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress and pain disorders as well as dealing with interpersonal issues, including relationship and marriage counselling. In the last ten years she has had a particular interest in trauma, abuse and domestic violence, as well as bullying and harassment within the workplace and in schools. She has also undertaken vocational assessments with job and career recommendations as well as preparing numerous psychological assessment and treatment related reports. She is also an accredited Workplace Trainer and Assessor. She is experienced in running training sessions, support groups and conducting individual and family counselling, and she has supervised provisional psychologists and a team of registered psychologists.
A significant component of her work has been medico-legal in nature, including independent assessment, file review, report preparation, as well as occasional court appearances as an expert witness. Voula has operated within the workers’ compensation arena since 1989, and also, has extensive experience assisting clients who have motor vehicle accident insurance claims, income protection insurance claims and in family court matters.
